Visual Product Designer (junior to senior)

The work we do combines the best of digital design, technology and innovation to create engaging digital products for some of the World’s most recognised and influential organisations. We make apps, websites, loyalty programmes, comms and marketing activations that users love.

The Job

You will be working with a talented team of Designers, Developers and Account & Project Managers. You will be in constant interaction with other departments and clients. We will be working on a variety of accounts, from corporate giants to SME.

Your work will be outcome focused, user-centred and data-lead, our design solutions are relevant, beautiful and a delight to use. You will share your work early and often, seeking feedback from across the board and take part in design reviews.

You will be responsible for presenting your work to high-level client stakeholders and make them see the positive impact of your designs. You will facilitate or take part in Design Sprints as well as various design and UX workshops. You will also be planning your work, estimating tasks and communicating those to the rest of the team. Your Manager will help you become the best Designer you can be and enable you to create your best work. We have a strong high-performance culture with regular coaching and 1-2-1 sessions to make sure you get the best out of your time at Graphite.

Your responsibilities

  1. Conceiving and crafting design direction on projects
  2. Articulating brand and identity digitally
  3. Communicating creative vision to clients and teams
  4. Understanding and developing design systems
  5. Understanding and improving our product development process
  6. Working with developers to refine the final product and own the output of your design
  7. Running and participating to Design Sprints
  8. Coaching junior colleagues
  9. Participating with the design community at large


  1. Sketch is a must. You are an expert and mastered this tool
  2. Prototyping and Interaction design. We use a variety of software depending on the job: InVision, Principle or Origami.
  3. Although you won’t be a UX designer you have a strong understanding of User Journey design, Personas, User Centred Canvas and User interviews.
  4. Design Sprints, you have facilitated and/or participated in multiple design sprints
  5. Desirable but not essential: Experience managing designers.

£23,000 to £38,000+ a year (Depending on experience)
